Little Red Fox

Early in the summer this little red fox started visiting our yard on a regular basis. She was definitely wild, but didn't seem to mind our barking dog as long as she was on the other side of a 4 foot wire fence.

As the summer went by we heard that neighbors had a fox with 4 kits living in their culvert. We all figured out that "their fox" was "our fox" and eventually we got brief glimpses of other foxes - the kits - making visits to our yard as well.

We have also seen a different fox, definitely a male, on the road. It's September now and we see the little female less often but hope that this new family stays in the area. I'll keep working to get the perfect fox picture and perhaps one with more of the family.
