Pileated Woodpecker, a New "Regular"

With all the snow the past couple weeks our bird feeders became very popular, along with our Koi Pond which had running water through the coldest of days.

This cute guy, a Pileated Woodpecker, became a daily visitor and has become almost friendly as he spends time in the nearby Douglas Fir as well as at our suet feeder.

Point No Point on a Cold Wintery Day

Text Color
A snowy walk at Point No Point. The Hansville Road can get a bit scary with lots of snow so Abby hasn't been to the beach for several days and today she insisted - she needed to RUN!
Crows

Rose Hips from the wild roses with the lighthouse in the background.

Blue Herons just sitting on the snow. They look cold.
Jim and the lighthouse.
Hmmm, something is missing . . . I didn't get a single picture of Abby!

Bloedel Gate Keepers

I took a variety of pictures of the gate keepers at Bloedel Reserve. Not sure which one they will use for their holiday greetings, but this is my vote.
