I'm Loving the Rain

I am loving this rain for several reasons.

First, it is so hard to leave Sunrise Acre in Spring, when the sun is out and when there is so much to do and to enjoy.

Second, this heavy rain is totally saturating my new raised garden beds and the weather is staying warm enough that my early plantings of basil and such aren't in jeopardy. The yard is looking lush beyond reason, so full of new growth and flowers. I have worked hard to get things to the point where I can leave and things are there; weeded, cut, trimmed and thinned.

Finally this last rainy day at home is perfect for finalizing both work and personal things. Work is looking good, major projects done or passed along to others (thanks KC) and I am mostly just changing my voice messages and responding to e-mails. Personal is done except for the packing which I'll do tonight.

Excited and nervous . . . tomorrow is it - we leave on our road trip adventure.
