A slightly cloudy take-off for Paddle Kitsap 2009 at Port Gamble this morning. The sun was out by the time the 40 kayakers made it to Twin Spits and it was bright and sunny at Norwegian Point for the lunch break. The paddlers rounded Point No Point and had an afternoon break at Eglon and will end the day in Kingston with a dinner and music this evening.
Tomorrow the group will paddle to Poulsbo. If you see the colorful group along the way - WAVE!
I'll have more pictures later - including some of Abby who imposed herself as the unofficial mascot of the Paddle.
