Yesterday I joined Jim and Abby on their daily walk at Point No Point. We didn't go until late afternoon and except for the fishermen, we had the beach to ourselves. With summer coming to an end and kids back in school the Kitsap beaches return to quiet sanctuaries. Above a couple enjoy the view from the top of the lighthouse.
Every trip to the beach is different; new driftwood buildings, more or less driftwood, high tide or low tide, migrating wildlife; constant change.
Abby has two passions; sticks and water. Put them together and she is one happy puppy dog.
We walked down the beach and then on the return cut over to the back trail lined with wild roses, currently showing their fall color.
One last good bye from a crow claiming the beach and the driftwood sculpture.
